Dr Tan Hon Liang

Intensivist and Anaesthesiologist

Dr. Tan Hon Liang graduated from National University of Singapore. He obtained qualification in Internal Medicine and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom [MRCP (UK) and M.Med (NUS) (Internal Medicine) in 2008, before going on to qualify as a specialist in Anaesthesiology [M.Med (NUS)(Anaesthesia)] and Intensive Care Medicine [EDIC] in 2013 and 2016 respectively.

He gained international exposure by spending a year each in one of Europe’s largest Intensive Care Units at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Birmingham, UK) in 2011 and in the world renowned Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN, USA) in 2014. He was appointed Consultant in the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at Singapore General Hospital in 2015. He was appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor (Duke - NUS Medical School) and Core Faculty for Intensive Care Medicine for the SingHealth Anaesthesia Residency Program before leaving for private practice. He actively participates in medical education and is the current President of the Society of Intensive Care Medicine, Singapore.


He is a firm believer of total holistic patient care and started a non-profit information portal for the family of intensive care patients (www.sg-icu.com) and established Collaborative Medical Services (www.collabmedical.com), a specialist led home care company to take care of patients beyond the hospital.

An avid mountain bike cyclist, he regularly seeks out new trails around the world to challenge himself and experience local cultures.

Dr Jensen Ng

Intensivist and Anaesthesiologist

Dr. Jensen Ng is an Anaesthesiologist with a keen interest in patient safety and clinical quality matters, having served as the Chairman the Hospital Transfusion Committee, and Member of the Quality and Patient Safety Committee of TTSH. As the Co-Lead of an Enhanced Recovery after Surgery (ERAS) programme, he developed and implemented protocols to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes following surgery.

He subspecialises in Intensive Care Medicine, and spent a year as an International Fellow at University Health Network in Toronto, Canada. His previous role as the Co-Director of the Outbreak ICU at NCID gave him direct experience with both clinical management of critically-ill COVID-19 patients, and operational aspects of outbreak response.

As a passionate medical educator, he had organised and lectured at numerous medical conferences and workshops, spanning such topics as Point-of-Care Ultrasound, Neurocritical Care and Trauma Anaesthesia.

Dr. Ng is active in professional societies. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Anaesthesiology), and a Member of its Chapter of Intensivists. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Society of Intensive Care Medicine, Singapore.

Dr Tan Sue-Anne


Dr Tan Sue-Anne graduated from NUS in 2003. She then obtained her Master of Medicine (Anaesthesiology) from NUS in 2008, and became a qualified specialist with the National University Hospital in 2011.

Her subspecialty is in Neuroanaesthesia, and she was awarded a Academic Medicine Development Award to spend a year as an international fellow in Neuro Anesthesia, in Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, England in 2013.

While with NUH, she was a part of the Neuroanaesthesia sub specialty group, where she helped to create the requirements for residency training. A passionate teacher, she has taught medical students and lectured Nurses doing their advanced diploma in her role as an Assistant Professor with the Yong Loo Lin school of medicine.

She believes in tailoring treatment to the individual and likes to involve her patients in the decision making.

An animal lover, she has an adopted cat, and loves to try out new recipes to feed her family of 4.
